Windows and curtain walling installed at Gorleston care home

Windows and curtain walling from Senior Architectural System’s innovative Hybrid range have met the requirements of an exacting design brief from NPS Architects to be successfully specified for use on a new care home in Gorleston, near Great Yarmouth.

Lydia Eva Cour, run by Norse care, is a ground-breaking care home which has been specifically designed to enable people with dementia to live as independently as possible.

Informed by the latest in dementia research, the design of the project has been greatly influenced by the need to create a light, spacious and comfortable environment.

The innovative construction of Senior’s Hybrid range, which combines the durability of aluminium externally with the environmental benefits of timber internally, made it the ideal choice for the project.

Featuring the slim sightline of Senior’s Hybrid Series 2 windows, in addition to Hybrid Series 1 windows that perfectly complement the Hybrid Series 3 curtain wall system, the new care home also benefits from Senior’s robust SD doors. The glazing systems have helped maximise the flow of light into the interior spaces to provide exceptional performance and a low-maintenance solution.

Perfectly suited for use in the care home sector, Senior Architectural System’s Hybrid curtain walling system incorporates a timber composite, which offers a residential feel to the interior of a building, while aluminium externally provides exceptional durability and high weather performance.
