SATRA makes key appointment to develop global business

Christine Powley-Williams promoted to assistant director (commercial)

SATRA has made a new appointment to further develop its global commercial interests.

Christine Powley-Williams, formerly a divisional manager with responsibility for SATRA’s consumer products testing and certification activities, has been promoted to assistant director (commercial) from July.

With a background in leather, footwear, personal protective equipment, furniture and clothing testing and certification, Powley-Williams has considerable experience of developing business within a membership organisation framework.

Commenting on her new role, she said: “As a divisional manager at SATRA, I gained a real understanding of SATRA’s consumer products activities and developed strategies to support and grow this side of the business. I am looking forward to applying this commercial knowledge to the business as a whole and integrating our sales and marketing activities to make them more efficient and effective.”
