Freelance Opportunity
12 month contract / 60 hours per month (estimate). The role may include some evenings.
Fee: £12,000 OTE (£9,600 + commission) – exclusive of travel expenses
Paintings in Hospitals is seeking an experienced and creatively-minded salesperson to increase the number of health and social care sites using its services in South Wales.
Based at home, the Regional Coordinator (Wales) will generate leads and approach sites on behalf of the charity. Working with volunteers, they will also oversee the selection, transportation and installation of artworks from the charity’s Welsh art library, located at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
Paintings in Hospitals uses art and creative activities to improve the health, wellbeing and quality of life for people with illness, addiction, autism and disability along with the people who care for them. Every year the charity provides support to over 1.5 million people across the UK. Paintings in Hospitals is managed by a small team in London and has support from regional centres in Belfast, Birmingham, Bury St Edmunds, Leicester, London and York.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills (written and verbal), knowledge of the health and/or social care sectors and a passion for the arts. A motivated individual, you will be results-driven with a track record of achieving agreed targets.
You will also have the organisational skills to prioritise and manage a diverse workload and the ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds.
The successful applicant will have two years’ previous sales experience, excellent account management skills and have an understanding of how Paintings in Hospitals services improve health. A driving license and access to a car is essential.
