Healthcare Management Trust reveals plans to revamp Sancta Maria Hospital

A new private hospital is to be built in South Wales.

The Healthcare Management Trust (HMT), which owns and operates both St Hugh’s Hospital in North East Lincolnshire and Sancta Maria Hospital in Swansea, has identified a site for a new facility, which will increase the range of services available to the local community.

The development will replace the existing Sancta Maria building.

Tony Barrett, HMT chief executive, said: “This ambitious development will ensure that patients across Swansea and West Wales continue to benefit from access to leading clinical services within a facility designed to offer the very-best patient experience.”

More details of the scheme will be announced shortly.
