NHS Supply Chain makes a wide range of products available to complement core PACS and RIS systems

NHS Supply Chain has launched its new Enterprise and Departmental, PACS and Information Systems and Associated Goods and Services framework.

Responding to the requirements of NHS Trusts over the last four years, the new framework has expanded to complement Trust’s core PACS and RIS systems, catering for many more hospital departments needing a digital solution. Rather than being Radiology-centric, the portfolio now covers any departmental software system required in a clinical environment.

Made up of more than 50 suppliers, the new framework now covers a range of digital solutions including:

  • image management software
  • departmental information systems
  • clinical information systems
  • vendor neutral archiving
  • document management
  • specialist apps and software

New additions including e-prescribing, genomics, pathology and other advanced applications complement existing solutions, enlarging customer choice and providing a comprehensive, market-spanning offering.

'By increasing the breadth of solutions available all Trusts can benefit from increased access to digital solutions to help reach their strategic technology goals,' said Matthew Johnson, Senior Buyer Medical IT for NHS Supply Chain, Capital Solutions.

The PACS framework also offers an accelerated route to market, saving NHS Trusts valuable time and money. There is no cost to use the framework and Trusts will receive free of charge support throughout the process.
