New chief financial officer at Mölnlycke Health Care

Michelle Roy to replace Steve Hamlett

Mölnlycke Health Care today announces the appointment of Michelle Roy as chief financial officer (CFO).

She will join the Company in June after the current CFO, Steve Hamlett, announced his intention to retire.

Roy is a US citizen and has a broad, international background of senior roles within accounting, controlling and financial planning. Most recently, she was vice president of finance for the international division of Align Technology, a California-based orthodontics company.

Hamlett, who is retiring at the end of 2014, has worked as CFO for Mölnlycke Health Care for eight years, overseeing a period of sustained organic growth and M&A activity. During this time, Mölnlycke Health Care has seen consistently high levels of cash generation and deleveraging, culminating in the company’s re-financing, completed in September of 2013.

Richard Twomey, chief executive of Mölnlycke Health Care, said: “On behalf of the Board, I thank Steve for his many years of service and commitment. Steve’s leadership has been a key contributor to the company’s success to date and I wish him well in his retirement.”

He added: “I am very pleased to be welcoming Michelle to Mölnlycke Health Care. Her experience from the US, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions will be a great asset to us as we continue to invest in growing our business.”
