New Peterborough City Hospital enhances patient monitoring

Philips Healthcare has been chosen to provide patient monitoring systems at the new Peterborough City Hospital. The procurement includes the first IntelliVue MX800iPC system - a solution that incorporates patient monitoring and clinical informatics - to be installed in a UK hospital. The hospital will also be using a number of other Philips devices, including the compact MP30, which can be used during patient transfer; the portable MP50, designed to be used at the patient's side; the MP70, which can be used for both critical and intermediate care; and the MP5, which can be used both inside and outside the hospital. John Atwill, managing director of Philips Healthcare, said: "We're proud and excited to be the chosen as supplier for patient monitoring at this new, state-of-the-art healthcare facility. Our patient monitoring systems are designed to help healthcare professionals make the most of their time, talent and resources, and to support in the delivery of high-quality patient care."
