500 bespoke seats provided for new Laboratory of Molecular Biology

Murray's Medical Seating specialises in clinical seating for operative working in a clinical environment.

The company recently won the contract to supply seating for the new Laboratory of Molecular Biology on the site of Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. It has now supplied the 550 lab chairs through a phased delivery programme.

The contract was tendered by the Research Council's UK procurement service and Murray’s winning bid was primarily due to ergonomics and the build quality of its seating.

Jason Embleton, project co-ordinator, said another reason why they chose Murray’s was because the company manufactures all its seating to order and was flexible towards our required specification, resulting in bespoke products.

Embleton said: “Since awarding the contract, Will Barnes, sales manager at Murray’s, has been very attentive to detail throughout production and in meeting delivery schedules. Not only are we are extremely pleased with the chairs, the after-sales service has been second to none.

Barnes added: “While we are a small business, we have the ability to facilitate contracts of this nature, but also we focus on the needs of the customer and build strong relationships, offering a high level of customer care.”
