Framework agreement recognises ability to develop agile digital products

Mastek has been successful in winning a place on the Government Procurement Services’ new digital service framework.

The award reaffirms Mastek’s commitment to providing agile IT solutions that are cost-efficient and enable government bodies to deliver digital services by default.

Under the framework, Mastek will help design, build and deliver digital services using an agile approach that ensures IT solutions meet the needs of individual users.

Mastek has been selected as a provider of:

  • Software engineering and ongoing support
  • Product development and service design
  • User research

The digital services framework is part of the Government’s commitment to the digital by default agenda, which is intended to make online services straightforward and convenient for people to use. It also ensures that public sector bodies can make regular updates and improvements to digital solutions so that they consistently meet the changing needs of users, while avoiding lengthy procurement processes.

Prahlad Koti, head of government and Health at Mastek UK, said: “We have a long history working with the public sector to deliver large-scale IT deployments and look forward to supporting government bodies as they transition to a digital model.

“At the heart of achieving the public sector’s digital vision is adopting an agile approach that ensures organisations can rapidly adapt to the changing demands of online users. By developing technology platforms that are closely aligned to business objectives, public sector bodies will be able to concentrate on delivering value to users.”
