Leighton Hospital installs EZ-Path from Cablofil

Disruption caused by refurbishments and upgrades will be minimised at Leighton Hospital in Crewe from now on following the introduction of a combined cable management and fire stopping system. Cablofil’s EZ-Path system includes both cable containment and a fire barrier system for any data communications cabling or low-voltage wiring networks.

The system was installed during a cosmetic upgrade of the main corridors leading to Ward 2 by fire protection specialist, Checkmate Fire Solutions. Its spokesman, Mark Shaw, said: “The existing cable management system was nearing full capacity and by anticipating future needs now, the estates team has put in place a system that will enable additional cables to be added quickly and simply without the need to amend the fire stopping process.”
