Label range helps reduce carbon emissions

Supply chain managers will be able to keep better track of stock, and reduce the impact procurement activities have on the environment with the launch of an innovative new label range.

SATO has launched its new ECONAN series of labels, designed to absorb and reduce the CO2 that is released into the atmosphere during the printing process.

Made possible through a CO2-absorbent being added to the label adhesive, the technology can help to reduce the amount of CO2 released at the point of incineration by more than 20% compared with conventional labels. Combined with the company’s NONSEPA linerless series, it is possible to achieve a 50% reduction.
