Siemens ACUSON S2000 systems improve diagnostics in general radiology and obstetrics

The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford has installed four ACUSON S2000 diagnostic ultrasound systems to expand imaging capability.

Two of the new systems, supplied by Siemens Healthcare, are located in the radiology department and are being used for a range of procedures including gynaecological, deep vein thrombosis analysis, breast imaging ad general endovascular workload. The other two are being used in the fetal medicine and neonatal units.

The systems feature high-density element array transducers and deliver clear image resolution, allowing clinicians to distinguish fine tissue detail. They are ergonomically designed for maximum user comfort and flexibility, whether seated or standing, and the natural and extended reach zones are designed for ease of use in busy clinical environments, with the controls conveniently located.
