Data management specialist joins programme to bring innovation to London NHS

Healthcare data management specialist, Insource, has been selected as part of the 2017/2018 cohort for the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator, a 12-month programme helping London NHS organisations to engage with 30 digital health innovation companies.

As part of this year’s cohort, Insource will be supported by DigitalHealth.London’s dedicated team of skilled digital health (NHS) navigators. They will work alongside the company to help it engage with healthcare providers in London with the aim of supporting the adoption and acceleration of their digital enablement.

This type of network is not only essential to technology companies such as us, but the wider sector and the teams within the NHS itself, helping them see the art of the possible within the impossible

Graham Bennett, healthcare director at Insource, said: “The accelerator programme enjoys a unique reach and level of engagement, and is well regarded as a leading component in the digital transformation of the NHS, with a specific focus on London.

“This type of network is not only essential to technology companies such as us, but the wider sector and the teams within the NHS itself, helping them see the art of the possible within the impossible.”

The NHS is dedicated to putting patients first and ensuring quality service, transparency and accountability. Improving the management and use of data by organisations is key to increasing operational efficiencies, optimising performance and ultimately improving patient experience and care.

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust (HEYT), for example, partnered with Insource to provide solutions that underpin its data management strategy.

Among the many benefits, teams now have the right tools to manage not only patient pathways, but also its emergency care patient flow. HEYT now has an off-the-shelf flexible and expandable data management suite to meet its current and future needs.

By automating data preparation, Insource’s solutions free up resources and time, improving productivity, insight and performance – doing more with less and increasing efficiency, providing the necessary insight for improving services and patient care.

Bennett said: “Data is the life blood of the modern world, but NHS patient data is about as complex as it gets.

“We understand the importance of sustainable improvement and working collaboratively with DigitalHealth.London will allow us to share our customer successes with the London NHS community”

Better use of technology is crucial to creating a health system fit for the future and the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme is pioneering in bridging the gap between high-calibre digital health innovations and the health system

Hannah Harniess, interim programme director at DigitalHealth.London Accelerator, added: “The 21st-century NHS faces unprecedented challenges.

“Better use of technology is crucial to creating a health system fit for the future and the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator programme is pioneering in bridging the gap between high-calibre digital health innovations and the health system.

“We are hugely excited to welcome our second cohort of digital innovations to the programme and look forward to connecting solutions such as Insource to areas of need within the system for the next year.”
