Imprivata joins healthcare IT industry leaders at One Health Alliance
Single sign-on specialist is latest to join technology collaborative
Single sign-on solutions supplier, Imprivata, has become the latest company to join the One Health Alliance (OHA), a group of healthcare technology providers working collaboratively to create best-of-breed systems for the NHS.
The group, which meets every quarter, works together to exchange experiences and ideas, as well as identifying opportunities and tenders on which to work together to strengthen the offerings of individual members to better meet the NHS’ requirements.
By working with members of the OHA, NHS commissioners will be safe in the knowledge that they are working with suppliers that are willing to integrate, work together and have the best possible market knowledge direct from the frontline regarding the issues that the NHS faces
In addition, the quarterly meetings provide an educational space where influential NHS speakers present to the group, providing members with an open forum for discussion and giving them invaluable information and advice from industry leaders regarding the changes and challenges that the NHS faces.
Mark Clark, international vice president at Imprivata, said: “The OHA is invaluable in providing the company with the networking opportunities necessary to establish constructive relationships with other suppliers that can often take months or years to form.
“We are already working with some members whose technologies share common goals to our own; that is to improve the workflow of clinical users, reduce the number of ‘clicks’ required to access critical patient data in high-pressure scenarios, and secure confidential information on fixed and roaming devices. Other companies already in the alliance include Oracle, Capita Clinical Solutions, Ardentia, Sunquest Information Systems and IMS MAXIMS, which have a considerable market share across areas including decision support, business intelligence, patient administration systems and laboratory and diagnostic information.
Clark added: “The informal business environment that the OHA provides, means members and speakers openly share initiatives and information so that we can continue to learn from industry experts and each other.”
The joining of Imprivata goes further to strengthen the OHA’s offering to the NHS including authentication management, single sign-on and clinical portal technology, among others
