Healthcare app provider appoints industry leader as chief technology officer

Gary Drew joins Ryalto to further develop sector's digital capacity

Ryalto Group has appointed Gary Drew as its chief technology officer.

Drew has spent 27 years in the technology services sector, delivering solutions to hundreds of organisations over that time.

And he has worked across the full spectrum of the healthcare sector, including NHS trusts.

Working for the likes of One Advanced and Datix, he has headed a number of game-changing software and services solutions that have improved care quality and patient safety for hundreds of thousands of people.

As chief technology officer of Ryalto Group, he is responsible for the secure and sustainable delivery of technology to existing clients, most notably the Ryalto smartphone workforce app, which delivers healthcare workers a live news feed, interfacility instant messaging/phone call tool, and a cross-NHS flexible shift-booking solution.

With a particular passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in workforce technology, he is also responsible for Ryalto Group's future technology roadmap; working with the healthcare sector directly to ensure the technology they have access to meets the needs of today and those of the future.

Dennis Bacon, chief executive of Ryalto Group, said: “We know technology in healthcare has to benefit patient care, be robust, easy to use and, critically, all data held has to be stored safely and to defined standards.

“This is something we have always been committed to, and with Gary at the helm we know future standards will always be met.".
