Alder Hey introduces document management solution
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust are to install Perceptive Software’s ImageNow document management, imaging and workflow solution.
Dr Zafar Chaudry, chief information officer for both trusts, said: “Up until this point, everything has been completely paper-based. Implementing this enterprise content management system will completely transform the way we work.”
The trusts will now be able to electronically capture all incoming documents, files, faxes and emails.
“The original remit was to digitise our paperwork to make the trusts more efficient and provide a better patient experience,” said Dr Chaudry. “But this provides us with a scalable solution, allowing the trusts to grow as required. It will allow users to remain in their operational environment, thus providing greater efficiency and cost savings.”
