Four-year procurement channel covers all lift-related work across the healthcare estate

Procurement organisation and social enterprise, Fusion21, has announced the renewal of its national Lifts Framework.

Worth up to £80m over a four-year period, the framework is the newest part of Fusion21’s Building Safety and Compliance offer.

Designed to deliver lift-related work and services to estates across the public sector, the framework is accessible to healthcare providers – including hospitals, mental health facilities, GP surgeries, and nursing and other care homes.

Split into five lots, it will support a variety of design, installation, refurbishment and the servicing/maintenance of passenger/goods lifts and domestic lifts (including stairlifts, step lifts, platform lifts and hoists).

The framework will offer options for fully comprehensive or basic maintenance, in addition to specific lots for lift consultancy services and carrying out thorough examinations required by Lift Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998.

Structured to open doors and collaborate with SMEs, the framework enables suppliers to bid for works suited to their capability, experience and expertise.

Peter Francis, director of operations at Fusion21, said: “Set for launch in May, this enhanced and fully-compliant framework has been developed in response to member and supply chain feedback and will provide both regional and national coverage while also facilitating local delivery.

“Fusion21 members will again be able to access full turn-key solutions for lift installation and refurbishment and fast-track installation for urgent lift replacements, in addition to greater efficiencies, flexible call-off processes, support from technical specialists, and social value aligned to organisational priorities.”
