Major cash injection into estates works and improvements

Procurement organisation, Fusion21, has announced the launch of its new national Construction Works & Improvements Framework, aimed at healthcare facilities and worth up to £800m over the next four years.

Specifically designed to support the health sector - including hospitals, surgeries and care homes - to deliver capital works programmes; the framework provides regional coverage and is set to engage with both local and national supply partners, including SMEs.

Offering a range of internal and external refurbishment and improvement works, including modernisation, change of use and upgrade works; Fusion21 members can commission all types of building construction works with the option to design and build residential and commercial structures – from new buildings to extending, altering, or converting existing facilities.

Peter Francis, director of operations at Fusion21, said: “We are expanding our procurement portfolio as a response to member and market demand, creating a capital works solution that is commercially efficient, clear, transparent, and delivers value for money.

“Set for launch in April 2019, the framework will offer Fusion21 members streamlined price models, social value outcomes, and flexible call-off process – including the option for early supplier engagement.

“In addition, Fusion21 members will be able to call off separate lots broken down by value bands.”

The organisation is now welcoming applications for inclusion on the framework.
