Artis zee interventional imaging system improves departmental workflow

Frenchay Hospital has installed a new interventional imaging system in its X-ray department for use in fluoroscopy, proctogram examinations, transjugular liver biopsies and stent insertions.

The Artis zee system from Siemens Healthcare replaces existing equipment that had been in use for more than a decade. It offers rapid image acquisition and post-processing capabilities, helping to improve departmental workflow. It is also equipped with the latest Combined Applications to Reduce Exposure (CARE) features and CLEAR post-processing technology, supporting enhanced image quality at the lowest achieveable dose.

“One of the reasons for choosing the Artis zee was because we were already comfortable with using the advanced interface on Siemens imaging systems,” said Alison Bohin, radiographer at the hospita, which is part of North Bristol NHS Trust.
