Firms join forces to develop new care homes

Partnership boost for elderly care facilities


A US estates management firm has joined forces with a UK nursing home operator to lead the development of elderly care facilities across the country.

Reacting to the drive to encourage people to stay at home longer and take more responsibility for their health and wellbeing, Heitman and Signature Senior Lifestyle will work together to construct new facilities in London and the South East.

The purpose-built units will house between 75-95 residents and will include dedicated areas for dementia care.

Construction at sites, which include Marlow in Buckinghamshire, will begin next autumn, with three initial developments worth around £75m.
