70 flats being built for older people

Elderly people in north east Lincolnshire are to benefit from the creation of extra care flats in East Marsh.

The £7.5m scheme was commissioned by North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group and will be delivered by Ashley House.

The 70 flats will be to provide people with an alternative to traditional residential care and allow them to retain their own property where they can receive any help and support they need.

As part of the plans, there will also be a cafe/restaurant to provide meals for residents and other members of the community, and a multi-functional community space that will host a number of wellbeing activities, including a mobile hairdresser and podiatry services.
