Approval from the Health and Social Care Information Centre means solution can now be ordered as a GP Systems of Choice

PCTI Solutions has announced that Docman GP, an electronic document management, workflow and practice management suite, has received full roll-out approval from the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) and can now be ordered as a GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) service.

The new GPSoC Framework is centrally funding all of the Docman GP software licence and ongoing support for GP practices in England. This includes existing Docman customers and also any new GP practice wanting to enjoy the benefits of the market-leading system.

Docman intends to interface to all Lot 1 Principal systems (EMIS, Microtest, INPS and TPP) under the GPSoC framework, subject to pairing integration.

EMIS and INPS practices can order Docman GP immediately.Microtest and TPP practices will be able to order it once the necessary pairing integration is in place.

GPSoC is a framework through which the NHS funds the provision of GP IT systems in England. The new GPSoC framework allows practices to choose the products and services that are best for their staff and patients.

Docman GP is a well-established core GP IT system used by 6,000 practices to receive, process and workflow in excess of 150 million clinical hospital letters sent to GP practices every year. It is used by over 200,000 clinical and administrative staff, driving significant efficiencies across the NHS.

Ric Thompson, managing director of PCTI Solutions, said: “It is fantastic that we have now received full roll-out approval for our software and services, which means we are accredited by HSCIC and Docman can now be centrally funded for practices under the contract. We are totally committed to interoperability and are looking forward to working with the principal clinical systems to provide even deeper integration with Docman."
