Lexacom Scribe enables trusts to tap into secure, accurate and reliable transcription services on a pay-as-you-go basis

Lexacom has announced the launch of Lexacom Scribe, a new transcription service for NHS organisations.

From this month the service will be available to users of Lexacom Digital Dictation software, currently relied on by more than 50% of GP practices in the UK.

The new service enables digital dictation clients to tap into secure, accurate and reliable transcription services on a pay-as-you-go basis, without requiring separate contracts or software to be installed.

Lexacom Scribe will give clients access to high-quality UK transcriptionists, with expertise in medical, legal and business document creation.

The service means all dictations can be returned swiftly, in line with trust requirements, with an 'urgent' facility if required.

The service is fully integrated with Lexacom Digital Dictation software so there are no changes to current working patterns required and no additional steps for users.

Chief commercial officer, James Morriss, said: “Many of our clients want occasional access to an external transcription service, especially when staff are on leave or off sick.

“In developing Lexacom Scribe, we’ve designed a service around our clients, with no minimum contracts, no set-up fees and no additional software requirements. The service is there when it’s needed, and you only pay for what you use.

“Creating Lexacom Scribe gives organisations full flexibility to make the best use of their resources and avoid backlogs of typing should they have a peak in demand or a shortage of staff.”

Lexacom Scribe is the latest service to join the Lexacom platform which already offers cloud-based digital dictation, mobile dictation and document approval, integrated document management and print-to-post services.
