Dickies appoints new sales director

Company announces appointment of Rob Haines to key role

Two decades is a long time, yet that’s not how it’s felt for Maurice Morton during his time as sales and marketing director at workwear specialist, Dickies.

Following a triumphant year, he has retired on a high and has handed over the reins to his successor.

Rob Haines, who has been leading the way as regional sales director, has been overseeing the main UK accounts. He brings with him a wealth of experience.

“This wasn’t my first role at Dickies” he said.

“I started my sales career selling workwear and tools to end users. In 1995 I joined the Dickies sales and marketing team and stayed until 2001. I left to broaden my horizons and took on a role selling construction materials. This gave me a far broader knowledge of the construction industry and the needs of builders’ merchants.”

Morton kept an eye on the young entrepreneur and, four years later, Haines was enticed back into the Dickies fold as a regional sales manager. Within two years he was promoted to regional sales director which ultimately led him to his new role as UK sales director. His wider remit incorporates far reaching sales strategies for the sales division.

“I am delighted to have been appointed sales director, cannot wait to expand further into the UK market, and am looking to move into new areas,” he said.

”We have some dynamic plans currently being put into action - so watch this space.”
