Birmingham and Solihull Mental health trust rolls out Ascribe BI solution
Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has gone live with a comprehensive Business Intelligence (BI) solution from Ascribe. The trust was already using the company's community care and mental health system, ePEX, and the upgrade will enable it to collate raw data from a broad range of sources and provide information that can be used to improve and develop clinical and managerial services. James Longmore, the trust's IT director, said: "In the past, we have evaluated services on the basis of standard operational reports. By using the data warehouse and reporting tools built in partnership with Ascribe, we can now incorporate information from other sources, such as patient feedback scores, staffing information and serious incident reports. Combining all this data will enable us to create a deeper understanding of our clinical services and accurately assess where improvements can be made to improve patient care."
