Artwork for Peterborough City Hospital

Published: 16-May-2011

MEMBERS of the public, staff and patients are helping to create eye-catching artwork for Peterborough City Hospital. Artists Natasha Carsberg and Lisa Temple-Cox have already worked with children from two local primary schools to collate their memories of healthcare in the city and they will also be working with students from Peterborough City College and other community groups. Temple-Cox said: "There have been a range of memories for all age groups, some down to earth and some very touching. During that process we have not only been exposed to information about the personal history of healthcare experiences but have been refining and evolving our design ideas in response to this." The project is funded through a grant from the Your Histories strand of the Heritage Lottery Fund and will create permanent artwork in the hospital based on memories of services over the years.
