Pioneering new facility in Shrewsbury will bring a range of services together under one roof

Archus has been appointed by NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin to support the development of a new health and wellbeing hub in Shrewsbury.

The appointment sees Archus providing a range of services for the scheme, including financial analysis, authoring for the Outline Business Case, Full Business Case Development, capacity and workforce planning.

The project is one of six ‘pioneer’ schemes within a national NHS programme which has been established to provide in-community health and wellbeing buildings which offer a range of joined-up health and social care services in flexible and fit-for-the future facilities.

It will also demonstrate an ambitious commitment to achieving sustainability and energy efficiency in the drive towards net zero by being the second NHS building in England designed to meet Passivhaus standards.

Beverly Letherby, associate director and Archus and project lead, said: “This project is at the forefront of modern primary care delivery, promoting collaborative working, economic efficiency, sustainability, and social impact to ensure it will make a real difference to the lives and health outcomes of the local community.”
