Online design tool shows specifiers what flooring solutions will look like in situ

British flooring manufacturer, Amtico, has developed a new online room visualiser to help designers and specifiers create flooring schemes for projects.

The interactive tool aims to simplify the process of finding the perfect flooring solution by enabling users to experiment with colour and pattern combinations in situ.

The online room visualiser brings design ideas to life with the new ‘Upload Photo’ feature.

This allows users to upload a project photo or sketch before the configurator then maps out the floor area.

The interactive tool is easy to use. Designers simply select the product, then the pattern, and apply it to the space.

It covers Amtico’s extensive range of carpet and Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT).

And the tool makes it quick and easy to explore flooring ideas and visualise concepts within the project’s own setting, in addition to the selection of stock roomsets across the education, healthcare, hospitality and leisure, office and retail sectors.

Unique looks and endless possibilities can be achieved using the editing tools and changing the product colour and sizes, or adding stripping for additional effect.

Alternatively, users can choose from more than 100 predefined Signature laying patterns in the Designers’ Choice collection, created by Amtico’s in-house design teams.

Louisa Eyles, commercial marketing manager at Amtico, said: “We appreciate that keeping projects on target is going to be a difficult task over the coming months, so we want to simplify the process of creating and selecting the perfect floor designs for customers.

“Our new Room Visualiser tool virtually transforms photos and sketches to make it easier than ever for designers and specifiers to instantly see how a project will look in different flooring styles from their computer, tablet, or mobile device.”

And support tools within the visualiser mean that project concepts can be saved and printed, or shared with colleagues and clients.

Plus designs can be downloaded as JPEGs in ‘room’ or ‘overhead’ view, or in a format compatible with CAD software.
