HOPPE launches Cam-Action series with a low opening force

Healthcare estates and facilities managers can improve accessibility thanks to a new high-efficiency door closer range from HOPPE (UK).

The doors within these buildings can be difficult to open for some patients, but the new Cam-Action closer series is designed to deliver a low opening force, enabling both patients and staff to move around the building with ease.

It is important that both accessibility and fire regulations are taken into consideration when specifying and choosing any architectural ironmongery, and door closers, in particular, have a key role to play in keeping a buildings occupants safe for as long as possible in the event of fire.

The door closer range meets the accessibility recommendations of BS8300 and Approved Document M.

The range has also been tested to BS EN 1634 Part 1 and is suitable for use on 30, 60 and 120 minute-rated timber fire doors, meeting the fire safety requirements of Approved Document B.

Andy Matthews, head of sales for HOPPE (UK), said: “Door closers play a key role in keeping buildings secure and safe, especially when it comes to a fire, but their importance is often overlooked.

“The new Cam-Action series caters for the majority of power sizes and is a popular choice for many hospitals and healthcare facilities due to surface mounted slide track that provides a sleek, discreet finish.”
